Payne Gunfield has always loved working with metal – fashioning something practical. A few years ago he became interested in uniting his love of metalwork with his lifelong interest in wildlife. Having spent his whole life observing wildlife he was well placed to create some magical sculptures.
To date these include large works such as a peacock, a roe deer and a full size rearing horse to smaller items such as squirrels and rabbits. All of these can be viewed in the garden. In addition to the wildlife sculptures he makes practical garden ornaments such as obelisks, bird feeders, plant supports and seats.
